CASA of Knox County

Our Advocates & Our Children

We have approximately 25 CASA advocates who volunteer over 1800 hours a year on behalf of our assigned children.  They come from a variety of professions and life backgrounds. Some work full or part time while others are retired.   All make a difference in the lives of our children.

In 2010, CASA and our advocates served a total of 132 racially diverse children.  Their ages ranged from birth to age 21.  Last year 46 children's cases were successfully closed when they were returned home or adopted.

Our Staff                                     Executive Director - Hannah Malley                    Our director serves as our volunteer manager and oversees the day to day business operations of our agency.  Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Knox College and came to CASA with five years of experience in the social services field, specifically working with persons with developmental disabilities.  She began her involvement with CASA as a volunteer advocate in 2006 and has been the Director since January of 2011.

Volunteer Support - Sara Robison                   Sara works to support our volunteers in their role as advocates.  She holds degrees in the areas of sociology and criminology and has additional experience in the area of women's and gender studies.  She's previously volunteered at CASA events and began her employment with us in September of 2011.
